A group that celebrates Christmas Year-Round; it’s a wonderful thought. The Spirit that surrounds and engulfs us during the Christmas Season is anchored in giving. Not the giving of presents, the giving of spirit, love and acceptance of others. SOCAYR, Inc. was established on those same premises.
SOCAYR, Inc. was founded because the Beacon Group saw a need in the communities they manage for a non-profit service provider that could assist not only with housing needs of people in lower income levels, but also incentives for school attendance, family self-sufficiency, training and support through contacts with neighborhood groups and government leaders. The Beacon Group shared their ideas with others in the housing field, and SOCAYR, Inc. was born. SOCAYR, Inc. received its 501(c)3 designation in February 1999. Through their diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, SOCAYR, Inc. has established itself as a provider through housing development, managers of affordable housing, and service provider in the housing arena.
SOCAYR, Inc. shares the values and commitments of The Beacon Group. Staff and facilities are shared among the two organizations.
